Pizza Fondue

"How can five ingredients be so delicious?" - Jeff

Did you know that the first time you use a crockpot, you have to let it cook itself for 30 minutes? And it smells while you do this. Really, really bad.

Anyway, for our first crock pot adventure, we picked a recipe out of the cookbook my mom got us. We decided to go with something easy, and picked Pizza Fondue. As we were dumping stuff into the crockpot, Jeff was flabbergasted at how little we had to do and kept repeating "How can it be this easy?"

We then killed an hour and a half by doing a puzzle...record time for 500 piece puzzle completion. We also prepared the bread. We went with a pre-made french baguette that we cut into slices and toasted in the oven.

Overall reaction: Delicious. This is would be a great dip for a party, but if you're making a meal out of it, get a salad to go with it. It also needs some herb added to it, but we have no idea which one.

Recipe

1 lb ground beef
2 15-oz can pizza sauce (we used Classico)
8 oz shredded cheddar cheese (we just dumped until we were satisfied)
8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (we again just dumped until satisfied)
1 tsp dried oregano

1. Brown meat
2. Dump everything into crock pot
3. We cooked it on High for 1.5 hours. Recipe says to cook on low for 2-3 hours, but we were hungry.
4. Garnish with cheese
